Jose Afshar

Jose Afsharipour  is geotechnical engineering expert at FPrimeC Solutions. He holds a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, where he specialized in modeling the combined thermal effects of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and climate non-stationarity on permafrost stability.

Since joining our team, Jose immersed himself in Non-Destructive Testing and Evaluation (NDT/NDE) of concrete structures, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the field.

Driven by a deep-seated passion for technology, Jose seamlessly integrates Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) models into engineering education and fieldwork, leveraging a suite of 3D modeling tools and LiDAR technology.

His groundbreaking work extends beyond conventional boundaries, as evidenced by his recent journal article, “Towards Education 4.0 in Geotechnical Engineering Using a Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Visualization Platform.” Through this publication, he pioneers the integration of new technologies into geotechnical engineering practices, laying a solid foundation for the future of the field.
